The 30th ECSS Annual Congress is just around the corner! We are eager to welcome you to four days of inspiring sport science, networking and new experiences at Rimini. To help you get ready, we have put together some key information — quick to read and easy to follow — so you can arrive feeling prepared and excited.
Your Congress Boarding Pass
Registration desks are located on the left-hand side immediately when you enter the Congress centre. Please have your personal Congress boarding pass on your mobile device (or in printed form) ready at hand for registration to minimise your waiting time at the registration desks. Your Congress booking information (lunch selection, receptions, etc.) will be printed on the back of your Congress badge, which must be worn at all times during the Congress.

Congress Programme
Please check one last time your ECSS account for the day, time and location of your presentation as well as your chairperson duties (if applicable), as minor final changes may have occurred!
If you are an oral presenter and have not uploaded your presentation slides already via your ECSS account, you have to come to the Speakers Ready Room located to the left side on Level 1 (follow the Congress signage) to upload your presentation slides at least one day prior to your presentation. This can be done from 07:30 on Tuesday, 1 July onwards.
If you are a conventional print poster presenter, please put up your poster in the morning on the day of your presentation and take it down directly after your poster session has ended, including the poster patches. Please collect the poster patches from the poster help desk in the middle of the poster boards in the Piazza Hall.
Please review your poster session (PS) in your ECSS account, log in to the ECSS Congress App and check the exact location of your session on the floor plan ‘SportEx, Catering, Print Posters & E-Posters’ in the More section (hamburger icon at bottom right). On-site, please refer to the session overview attached to the first poster board of your session and the individual sheets on each poster board to find your assigned poster board.
The poster presentations will be streamed via the LiveVoice App which can be accessed via your smartphone or laptop. Please download the app beforehand and do not forget your headphones! To ensure a smooth streaming experience, a dedicated poster network will be installed. Please refer to the ‘Wi-Fi Information’ page in the app’s More section for login details. However, you may also use your mobile data.

Similar to last year, the ECSS Congress App will guide you through the Congress with all necessary information on the final Scientific Programme, speakers, exhibitors, Masterclasses, Special Interest Groups, Social Programme, Special Programme and floor plans, in addition to connecting with colleagues and friends, but most importantly, creating your personalised Congress schedule and much more! SportEx – The Official Exhibition of the ECSS
Thank you to all our ECSS Partners and 49 exhibitors for your support! We look forward to welcoming you on-site on Monday, 30 June, 08:30–22:00 (CEST) for the set-up and wish all Congress participants a great networking experience during the following opening hours (CEST):
- Tue, 1 July: 10:30-15:30
- Wed, 2 July: 09:00-16:30
- Thu, 3 July: 09:30-17:00
- Fri, 4 July: 09:00-13:15
The dismantling of the exhibition will take place on Friday, 4 July, 13:15-22:00 (CEST).

Public Lecture
Join us on Monday, 30 June, 19:00-20:30 at Cinema Fulgor in Rimini for ‘How Science helps win in Sport’ — a free public lecture held in Italian language. This lecture is designed to show sports enthusiasts, coaches, athletes and curious minds how scientific research contributes to improving athletic performance, optimising training and preserving athlete health. Free entry until capacity is reached — please register here in advance.
Friday Night Party
Celebrate the end of a fantastic Congress week at the Friday Night Party at Coconuts! Doors open at 21:30. If you registered for the party by 30 May, you’ll receive two free drink vouchers at the entrance.
ECSS guests will enjoy exclusive access to a private indoor and outdoor area, while still being able to explore all three dance floors of the venue. Don’t forget to bring your Congress badge (the printout suffices) and a valid ID for entry.
