In only five days, ECSS Glasgow 2024 opens its doors to welcome you to the most awaited event of the year! We urge you to read through this concise last minute information to make the most out of your congress experience.
Your Congress Boarding Pass
Registration desks are located within Hall 5, directly after entering the hall, which is on the right-hand side as you follow the main concourse from the (main) east entrance of the SEC Centre. Please have your personal congress boarding pass on your mobile device (or in printed form) ready at hand to enter Hall 5 for registration and to minimise your waiting time at the registration desks. Besides your congress badge, which must be worn at all times during the congress, you will receive your lunch vouchers at registration. At a separate desk nearby, you will be provided with your congress bag.
Registration opens at 07:30 (BST) on Tuesday (2 July), Wednesday (3 July) and Friday (5 July) as well as at 08:00 (BST) on Thursday (4 July).
Passport
Please note that since Brexit, anyone who is not a British citizen needs a passport to enter the UK! This also applies to members of EU countries and the Schengen area. Please check your passport and make sure it is valid for your entire stay in the UK. Further information can be found here.
Furthermore, please be reminded that the UK has type G sockets and you may need an adapter to charge your devices.

Congress Programme
Please check one last time your ECSS account for the day, time and location of your presentation as well as your chairperson duties (if applicable), as minor final changes may have occurred!
If you are an oral presenter and have not done already via your ECSS account, you have to come to the Speakers Ready Room (M5, Level 1) to upload your presentation slides at least one day prior to your presentation. This can be done from 07:30 on Tuesday, 2 July onwards.
If you are a conventional print poster presenter, please put up your poster in the morning on the day of your presentation and take it down directly after your poster session has ended, including the poster patches. Please collect the poster patches from the poster help desk in front of the poster boards in Hall 5. Please review your poster session (PS) in your ECSS account, log in to the ECSS Congress App and check the exact location of your session on the floor plan Print Posters & E-posters in the More section (hamburger icon at bottom right). On site, please refer to the overview attached to the first poster board of your session and the individual sheets on each poster board to find your assigned poster board.
The poster presentations will be streamed via the LiveVoice App which can be accessed via your smartphone or laptop. Please download the app beforehand and do not forget your headphones!

- Tuesday, 2 July: 10:30-15:30 (BST) and 18:30-20:00 (BST)
- Wednesday, 3 July: 09:00-16:30 (BST)
- Thursday, 4 July: 09:30-17:00 (BST)
- Friday, 5 July: 09:00-13:15 (BST)
The dismantling of the exhibition will take place on Friday, 5 July 13:15-22:30 (BST).

Civic Reception
Hosted by The Rt Hon The Lord Provost of Glasgow, the Civic Reception (representing the ECSS Farewell Reception) will take place on Friday, 5 July, 18:45-20:45 (BST) in the Glasgow Science Centre. Immediately after the Closing Ceremony (17:30-18:30, BST) in the Clyde Auditorium of the SEC, you will be guided to the venue (5 min foot walk).
Friday Night Party
Join our Friday Night Party at Platform to finish a great congress week and dance to the beats of DJ Raki! Doors open at 21:00 and we will kick off with some Scottish ceilidh dancing at 21:30, do not miss this engaging experience! Those who have booked their participation by 31 May, will receive a free drink voucher at the entrance. Please note, that you have to use the rear entrance and please bring your congress badge and ID to be granted access.
