New initiatives to welcome 2025

ECSS Mentoring Programme: We are delighted to introduce the ECSS Mentoring Programme to offer Early Career Researchers the opportunity to discuss and seek guidance from ECSS Fellows and senior members regarding various challenges they may face in their respective fields and career planning. Along the way, the programme will also help mentees build international connections, understand the complex demands in the academic system and learn more about conflict management. For further information, click here.

New reduced registration fee for members from lower-income countries: In line with our vision, starting Rimini 2025, the ECSS offers a reduced Congress registration fee for members up to lower middle income countries based on the DAC List of ODA Recipients. This will ensure that sport science colleagues, regardless of their geographic or economic situation, can be involved in the development of sport science from all quarters and contribute to the expansion of our field. For complete information, click here.

Before we sign off, we would like to remind you to remain vigilant. There have been occasional reports of scam emails impersonating ECSS Executive Board members, requesting financial assistance on behalf of the College. The ECSS Executive Board members or staff will never make such requests. Should you encounter any suspicious communication, we encourage you to inform us immediately.

Please note that the ECSS Office will be closed from 23 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. We’re looking forward to seeing you again at ECSS Rimini 2025 next summer!

Stay safe and may your holidays be filled with warmth and cheer!

Yours in Sport Science,

The ECSS
