After distinguished service on the ECSS Executive Board, Professor Jørn Wulff Helge, completes his tenure at the end of July 2025. His departure will open up a position for a new member of the Executive Board.
As an ECSS Member, you are able to participate in the election of the new member who will join the ECSS Executive Board. Following the call for candidates, three candidates have been shortlisted after scrutiny by the ECSS Search Committee and approval of this by the Executive Board, and in accordance with the ECSS Bye-Laws (see sections 4.3 and 4.4).
We now invite ECSS Members to cast their vote to elect a Member of the Executive Board who will begin the term from 30 July 2025. Each Member is eligible to vote only once.
To facilitate the voting procedure, an online election has been organised. This will only take a few minutes to complete.
By clicking the red button below, you will be directed to our voting platform which will present you with information about the candidates. The system will then guide you to the electronic ballot form.
Please note that you will only be able to cast your vote for one candidate. Additional log-ins will be rejected. The electronic vote is received anonymously in the encoded electronic ballot box. The total votes received for each of the shortlisted candidates will then be counted electronically.
In terms of the proposed candidates, you have the opportunity to elect one candidate or cast abstention. The results for the vacant position on the ECSS Executive Board will be determined by the majority of votes expressed.
Your vote must be cast by Tuesday, 27 May 2025, 24:00 CEST.
Late votes will not be considered. The results will be announced via an ECSS Newsletter sent to each ECSS Member.
